is a community 30 km west of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
History
Girls' hockey in Brantford originated in 1974 when registration was opened to girls
aged 7 - 18.
49 girls paid their $15.00 annual fee (50 cents per practice) and Brantford had
a girls' hockey league! The league began with 3 hours of ice time per week.
Mayor Charles Bowen dropped the puck at the first game on September 21, 1974.
